    Lathe cut records are different from traditional vinyl records. They are produced using a lathe, a machine that cuts the groove directly into the disc. The quality is comparable to pressed vinyl, though not identical. They feature wide frequency response, low surface noise, and stereo sound. They can be played on any standard turntable, though due to the manual cutting process, occasionally may not play back properly on lower-end or fully automatic players.

Taken from the forthcoming album Anxiety Dreams, Data Will Call is a frenetic track characterized by its mind-bending rhythms that culminate in a barrage of nearly incomprehensible cadences. As the track nears completion, the only respite comes as a burst of skittish hi hats, rumbling 808s, and indistinct echoes. The non-album B-Side, This Kind of Thing, builds from the chaotic energy of Data Will Call and paints a decidedly more haunting soundscape. Ghastly vocals saturate the unlit fog, while intricately programmed breaks continuously erupt, shining through the shadows. The occasional strum of a guitar or run down a piano only serve to disorient further—as the lyrics croon, the listener, too, feels lost in the dark. Recommended for fans of Venetian Snares, Squarepusher, and The Flashbulb!
