about

Aphilixal // Ebsthesi is an ambitious double album realized during the past year in response to the ever-changing tides of life.

In the words of Kendall, "Aphilixal and Ebsthesi are both products of my life’s ups and downs over the past year. Music has always been a huge coping mechanism for me and a clear divide in these albums show aurally how mood and mental health can affect artistic output. It’s important for us all to have an outlet in life and a way to cope with what is handed to us, because in the end we are in it together."

Aphilixal, the distinctly brighter of the pair, showcases mcrcsms' most recent—and most funky—material to date. Ebsthesi, on the other hand, revels in the cold darkness of night. On Aphilixal, the animated arrangements swing and dance with a sense of contentment, while drums echo from a distant room and shimmering pads offer to gently carry you away on Ebsthesi.
